A new extension to our in-school programs; this class is based on Visual and Performing Arts standards and a wonderful supplement to physical education while learning from home. Students will have a basic warm up to isolate and stretch muscles and learn some simple and fun dance movements, games, and activities. Great for elementary students age 5-11!!
Designed for musical theater performers and anyone wanting to get a basic understanding of ballet vocabulary and technique. Students will explore basic barre exercises, broken down into an easy to follow format, as well as stretches for flexibility and simple floor work to build balance, strength, and coordination. Ages 12+
For pre teens through adults, this class is a wonderful way to lengthen and strengthen muscles, improve posture, build a strong core, improve your focus and increase your stress management abilities. Using the classic Pilates sequence, students will use their own body weight to activate their cores and challenge their muscle groups, using slow, precise movements accompanied by breath control. Exercises focus on quality over quantity, as well as precision, to sculpt long, lean muscles. Ages 12+ / Zoom
Designed for musical theater performers and anyone wanting to learn the basics of tap
vocabulary and technique. Students will learn simple tap warm ups and tap terminology each week, practiced in a slow, easy to follow format. Ages 12+ / Zoom
Another fun supplement for at home physical education for the little ones! Each week, students will take time to stretch and warm up their muscles, learn some fun dance steps (even a bit of beginning tap technique), play dance and rhythm games for musicality, and enjoy a short story. A great way to end the school week for younger students!
Stuck at home and looking for a way to continue your dance training in a one on one environment?
