This fall Discovery Elementary, in collaboration with Luminary Arts, will be offering an after-school musical.
We will be rehearsing and performing in the Multipurpose Room at Discovery.
In order to fit and have an enjoyable experience for everyone, we will need to limit the cast to 45 students. All interested students K-5 are encouraged to sign up. If we have more than 45 students interested, the production team will draw names before the first rehearsal. We won't decide on parts until the second week of rehearsals. This will allow the director time to really get to know the students and find the best spot for everyone. Everyone in the cast will have a spot in the show.
Students MUST commit to attend all rehearsals except for illness or emergency. After the show has been cast a more detailed rehearsal schedule will be sent out. Not everyone will be "called" to each rehearsal...meaning the director may choose to work with only some characters for a particular rehearsal. So, please review the rehearsal schedule frequently. If you would like your child to attend every rehearsal day, they will be allowed to be there as long as they have something quiet to work on.
Please make sure you have a clear conversation with your child to determine THEIR interest in being a part of the production. We don't want to cast someone who isn't really interested and deny a spot for someone who is.
All interested students must register through this link. Discovery School Play 2026-"Seussical, Kids"
It will open on Friday, September 11th.
